May Gigs
The 'Sweet Spot' is back at Barcosa in North
London on Thursday May 8. Guests include
local band 'Instant Flight' who will perform an
exclusive acoustic set and local chanteuse
Cathy Mc Manamon who will showcase some
new songs on the night. Live music from 8pm.
The Gloss Club will hold its first themed night
'Songs of War and Protest' on Friday May 16
at the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith.
This show will be co-hosted by resident MC
J. Eoin and self styled Londonstanee and
World Citizen Babar Luck.
The voice of imformed protest still rings loud
and clear. We shall not be moved!.
'The Trad Academy' is a new monthly
Irish Traditional Music Session I will be
hosting at Barcosa with flautist Jacquelyn
Hynes and fiddler Pete Ashmore. Taking the
form of a 'sit around the table' session, this
event is open to all and presents an
opportunity for local musicians to benefit from
the expertise of the core group.
Next session is Thursday May 22.
Live music from 8.30pm to 11pm.
Barcosa is at 54 Holloway Road N7.
